Three films about Thuisgevers

VluchtelingenWerk Nederland · Non-profit · 2025

Three short films about Thuisgevers, shot at three locations. Without a voice-over explaining what you see.

The question: VluchtelingenWerk wanted to show the story of Thuisgevers without falling into the familiar picture of aid work. No voice-over explaining what you see, but people telling it themselves.
The approach: We made the concept, wrote the structure and shot on location with the people themselves. Each film stands alone and is part of one whole at the same time: the same visual language, the same editing rhythm, different stories.
The result: Three films that each work on their own, without a voice-over, and together form one series.
